Lately I haven't played as much poker as I would have liked. Actually, I haven't played any poker in almost a week, which is really weird. And the last time I played, I was not paying any attention to the action on the table. Just check out the hand above: Why didn't I shove on that river?!
Since work and life has gotten in the way, I decided to cancel the staked $100 project. It's just not fair to play for someone else's money when I'm not giving it my A-game. So I decided that the best thing was to send the money back. I really do appreciate the opportunity, now has just been such a bad time for me.
But I have taken a log of time talking to other poker players, watch them play, asking questions, watching Youtube-videos and reading articles. I want to be ready to hit the tables again soon. First I need to unclutter my mind :)
And thank you to those of you who are there helping me, always encouraging me and answering my silly questions. You know who you are :)
Poker is a game of both luck and skill. And it requires you to be in control of your emotions. Lately I have been bringing my emotions to the game. I can pretty much feel the monkey tilts building even when I'm away from the table.
I promise that I'll be back soon, and my goal is to get the $13.08 project up to at least $200 by the end of this year. Hopefully life will start to get better soon :)
Until next time: Good luck at the tables. Find me if you are playing and want someone railing you or want to talk poker!
